The Monkey collection in the Hansa line up is quite extensive, but the Hansa Squirrel Monkey is one of the funniest one. With big ears, a gray beard and a thick tail this guy looks a little shy and skiddish. They have a black mouth so you can only imagine what he would look like when he is laughing! He sits just about 7 inches so a perfect size for any room.

Squirrel monkeys live in the tropical forests of Central and South America in the canopy layer. The upper part of their head is hairy. This black-and-white face gives them the name "death's head monkey" in several languages. Squirrel monkeys grow to 25 to 35cm, plus a 35 to 42cm tail. Male squirrel monkeys weigh 750 to 1100g. Females weigh 500 to 750 g.
